Dear all,

I can't seems to be able to activate the D-TTL in my SB-80 flash (note that it's not SB-800) when used with the D70. When at the TTL mode, which is only for film camera, i can't fire any flash. The only time i can fire any flash is at the 'A' mode, which is for aperture piority. So this means i must change the f-number for each shots.

Anyone has this problem before? Please help

Thanks

If I am not wrong, D70 is not compatible with D-TTL. Gotta check to confirm...

Dear all,

You referring to A mode on the flash? If so, it means automatic control mode... not aperture priority.

When in the Auto mode, i still have to go adjust the f-number on the flash manually leh. then like this not considered 'auto' already mah

how?

Yes, you need to select the f-stop range on the flash, and adjust the f stop setting accordingly, and the flash sensor will emit desire amount of light, as long you stay with in the work range, this is call AUTOMATIC mode on flash.

You want to set the f stop value on the camera and like to let the camera measure the flash light Through The Lens, and camera will tell the flash to emit desire amount of light, this is call TTL mode on flash.

D70/D70s are not fully compatible with SB800, is written in the camera manual.
