Came across a very short street fashion show yesterday at Bugis Junction, only had
the 50-200 on the Ds, and I didn't even bring a flash :-(

Oh well, here are some good ones (in my eyes :)

All shots were taken by Ds and DA50-200 at F5.6, ISO800 in jpg. It's late in the afternoon, light was really bad.

Obviously the DA50-200 lens is abit too slow for these. I guess the new DA*50-135/2.8 would be a better lens for these pretty models ...

Cheers,

Hi FengWei
Is the DA a Pentax lens? It could be because these are moving "targets" and there was lesser time or simply the lens. your other ones using prime lenses seems to be sharper and had more contrast.

Yes, it's the DA50-200. I took all these photos at ISO800, and used NeatImage to 'smooth' the models abit. The original ones are sharper, but for portrait or model shots, I prefer this way ;) Besides, if you check the EXIF of each photo, you'd see most shots were taken way slower than the 1/FocalLength rule (especially consider the 1.5x crop factor :)

Cheers,

The pics are pretty good and well exposed considering that you did not use a flash. At ISO 800 I don't detect any distinct noise within the shadows ........ :)

Just like eow said above, all thanks to NI ;)

Thanks btw.

I know that and I still think the images are pretty "neat" .......... details still intact as compared to Canon's ISO 3200 pics, even though low noise but the details were lost .......

diff thing bro...should compare then against canon at iso800

Compared that ......... prefer KM5D cam at ISO 800 if compared to Canon 30D at the same ISO ....... KM5D with CCD sensor gives better sharpened images
