Default A Simple Wedding in Netherlands

Had the privilege of shooting a wedding assignment in Schiedam, southern part of Holland.

Reception was held in a school canteen instead of some fanciful hotels.Compared to Singapore, weddings there are really small, cosy affair for the family and friends.

Some pictures to share from one of their albums:

    Pg 00 - 01

    Pg 02 - 03

    Pg 04 - 05

    Pg 06 - 07

    This is really good
Especially the part where the bride seems to be video conferencing (with the family back home?)

Did they hire you all the way from S'pore?
Great work! I m sure they will cherish this

    Thanks for the encouraging comments.

The webcam was a touching moment. Her folks couldn't travel for some reasons, so the only way is to broadcast the wedding to them via Skype.

Guess without a banquet, they've more than enough budget for many other things, like my airfare, lodging and fees.

Some of the couple's favourite images, either not featured or too small to see in the above series...

This one's cute, someone pointed out it looks a bit like Herbie....

Back to post process another 2 more weddings....

Everything else aside, this assignment really showed me that weddings needn't be some big fanfare. I was humbled by its simplicity and the involvement of the whole family, neighbours and parish folks... all chipped in to offer a hand to make the wedding a success.

Also, more importantly, you're really treated very well and well-respected as a professional.

I really respect the way they treated people esp. in the western country. Unlike here, even if you are a professional. What a shame.
Your pics really reached those professional standards like some american professional wedding photographers. You will definitely go a long way if you are still young (though I don't know what's your exact age).
Your wedding pics shows emotions, mood & timeless moment captured in it. I'm speachless.
