    Default my first serious video with D-SLR

    After so many trial and reading, include hundreds of tutorials and reference from YouTube and Vimeo...



    Shot with EOS 5D Mark II,
    Lenses : 24-70mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.4
    Edited with Final Cut Pro X and Magic Bullet Looks for color grading

    The blue lines seem to be present throughout the whole video.

    If it's intentional, I honestly feel it doesn't add to the video whatsoever, if any, it's distracting.

    Just a normal events video kind of thing, although I noticed with your setup you should have gotten more close-ups instead of wide and medium all the way, breaks the monotony.

    I think this is a simulation of anamorphic lens flare.

    looks like an overdone andrew kramers anamorphic flare.

    lol that looks like blue gunk tho, real anamorphic flares are da bomb.

    I do know it's lens flare.

    Not that I knew for sure, but was giving the benefit of doubt.

    I personally hate videos where anamorphic lens flare is overused.

    Agree with you. I recently used an anamorphic kowa lens and created only few scenes where the flare is present. You can have a look if you have time: https://vimeo.com/47080479

    Nice montage, but I do agree with the clubsnappers here that you need more variation in shot sizes to provide beats to your edit.

    Anamorphic lens flare could be more subtle and in maybe one or two scenes only.

    But great work, Keep it up
