This is really really cool!
Just a few comments.. maybe you could try to follow the beat of the music a little more. There are instances when the scene changes right before the beat. It may seem like a small thing but it does make a huge difference. Pacing your shots by the beats make the changes of scene more fluid.
You could also try to rearrange the scenes to make the illusion of a narrative. You could do something along the lines of "A day in Singapore"? So basically, the scenes can be arranged from morning to night. Piecing the video in this manner will trick the audience into thinking all these are happening in one day.
But all in all, I think it's a really well made video. I think the opening was really nice. The use of bokeh for the traffic scene is quite creative. And well done on the composition!

Hi, really great work, I am really impressed by the effort and amt of thought you put into it!
I'm only an amateur, but here are my few pence worth (some parts quite agreeing with wporchard):
1. The traffic bokeh thing is really a good idea! but i think too much shots of traffic is included in it. could have included things like uncle at coffeeshop drinking coffee, ppl queuing for 4D, etc!
2. the night shot of MBS with the lights in the hotel rooms going on and off: it would be really perfect if you could end it with the lights slowly going out!

The night scene transition scene you took i suppose you shot in manual? i think AV mode might be better for that..

Hmm, also, if you're doing pan and zoom post-process, do it with full res photos. I used aftereffects for that.

I like photoglove's ideas..think i'll do something like that too haha

Nice to hear that there was a difference! My German friend showed this to me stuttgart24h on Vimeo . It's a time-lapse in the city of Stuttgart in Germany. Basically, a group of students did this for their project. Like the suggestion I gave to you, they did it in such a way that it looks like all this took place in 24hrs. Maybe you could take a look at this?

Wanted to ask you, your sunrise seen from MBS 1:39 which mode did you use? full manual or Av?
been trying to run some settings to combat the constant change of light thus reducing the flickering.

Urs seem not to have any flicker what so ever.

Yeah i shot in manual. But i didnt use DSLR to shoot this. Its a Panasonic P2 videocamera shot in INTERVAL. anyway, thanks for the comment!

Everything in manual. I set it abit underexposed . Well, its a trial and error. I did it twice for 2 days to get the right contrast and exposure. good luck!

There are no linkage between the scenes; I just don't know where are they located and they just popup from nowhere. The timing for the scenes are also a mess. At a point, I saw the sky is getting dark and the screen black out. I am expecting a sunrise scene of the same place, but the scene just turn out to be under bright sunlight, and it is another location.

Should improve on your story lines, instead of just joining bit and pieces together to make the video show.

Maybe instead of just pointing out my mistakes, tell me how can it be improve? And how can i link from one scene to another? The timing i understand, thats the reason why i re-edit it. Hmm, when the sky turns dark, and the screen blacks out, its because of the tempo change in the music. Thanks
