Just got a repair quotation for my JVC Mini DV recorder - $496.
Should i repair or get a used one on buy/sell or ebay? Thing is i need a Mini DV player to transfer my tapes/footage to computer.

Just get a used set. I got a Panasonic GS55 for S$120 a few months ago just so I could transfer some tape contents over.
