Manfrotto 561BHDV-1 Video Monopod

Have any one here used this video monopod before? Heard the contact between the monopod's end and the head of the mini legs breaks easily?

All I could find online review is how good it is but having my reservations after I saw the video... Need some local reviews.

Don't know who will use until it breaks but this is the only thing I would shoot with other than tripods. It's the only monopod I will use for video work, nothing beats this one.

I have 2 pieces, 1 as spare, and my first piece is still serving me fine.

I got a quote from them S$360/- plus the tripod head... Freaking worth it...

Last week someone tried to sell me at S$400/- some more... I say get from CP better

FYI, 561BHDV-1 consists of the legs and head, no one can sell it separately.

Two problems with this monopod:

Everyone staring at me when I carry it around. LOL!

It also looks like a weapon and the airport won't let you carry it into the plane! I am now at Hanoi airport and they forced me to check it in. Grrr....

staring is normal, have gotten a few enquiries about it while in use. The airport one not only monopod certain airports/personal will want you to check in tripods even, they use the excuse "it can be used as a weapon" often.

CP quote me $385.00SGD. Never put deposit. Because they also dun know when the stock come. I have given my contact number.

u order from bh around 382 sgd with shipping get it in 3 - 4 days.

Cathay Photo... But having someone said he was quoted S$385/- then I think what Steven quoted me should be institutional price or bulk order price since I am working in the arts academy.

I am ok with checking in but I was not prepared and there is no bag for it. I had to pay to get it wrapped at the airport. Now I have to go hunt for a carrying case. Do you use one?
