I must tell you guys some lens with problem after recalibrating, not much diff, not worth at all, so if you got a lousy copy, good luck!

What kind of problem? care to explain further? I've calibrated mine and its working fine so far...

I just had my copy calibrated today at Sigma. About 3 hours. My copy Front/Back focus issue is totally resolved and very accurate now. Image is also very sharp.

What are the "problem" you refering to? Care to enlighten?

I think Sigma has finally realised their lens coat peeling problems. All their recently announced lenses have smooth finishings.

I used to own a Sigma 50 1.4 but really dislikes the rubbery coating and finally sold it off ... now i'm buying back all the new batch of sigma lenses cos they are really good for the price paid ...

paint peel off is a problem but dun really bother me.

if they took off the paint and price increase... something is not rite...

Not sure if you have any specific use for 50mm at f5.6 f8 f11 with the 4 corners sharpness being tack sharp as a main determining factor. Perhaps you can list it out.
