Default Volunteer Services for Graduation Photoshoot

Hi,

my bunch of friends and I are thinking of taking one whole day for a photoshoot of us in our grad gowns. Probable locations of the shoot will be NUS, botanical gardens, fullerton area etc. At first we intended to use ourselves as photographers, but realise that it will be quite a hassle. So we are wondering if anyone here would like to volunteer their services for the photoshoot?

The day will most probably be next Sunday, and as mentioned above, we will be going to a few places. We will provide the film, development and transport, and our equipment (all low-end stuffs) if necessary. You may view the photos after they are developed or print a copy for yourself but we need to keep the negatives.

I know it sounds silly that we are not paying for the services, cos this is just an idea that we have and we're just wondering if anyone would volunteer for the purpose of a photoshoot opportunity. So this is just a survey at a preliminary stage, nothing is confirmed yet, but if response is good then we will decide to go ahead with the photoshoot.

THanks for any replies!

Anyone interested to help out fellow ClubSNAPpers?

Can turn this into an outdoor portrait photoshoot with willing models (btw, any females in your group, cos sure to be lots of willing photogs if there are ... ).

Tweek - if you can give us an approx. number in your party then we can tailor photogs to suit eg. 1 photog to 2 grads. (if there are interested parties that is).

Also, apart from photogs, may need an assistant or two to help with reflectors etc. (if anyone has reflectors that is).

A lot of unknowns here, but I think its worthwhile for you to ask. Tentatively, I can volunteer my services but need to confirm once the date is firmed up.

thanks Darren for your reply. We should have about 6-8 people for the photoshoot, and yes, there are females. 1 photographer to 2 grads sound good, I think the workload and attention-load is quite reasonable. Wah if there are reflectors all the better, we didn't even intend to use those stuffs!

So are BS, Willy, andre, firefox, ckiang etc willing to volunteer? It yes, then it sounds like the photoshoot might just materialise! And thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm.

we should be staying to the conventional 35mm, although digital is fine as well (but need resolution of higher than 2MP cuz we may want to print large).

If you really want to print big, especially for the large groupshots, then I suggest doing it on medium format. Have a Minolta IV F incident light meter as well.

thanks a lot for all your replies. Ok I will discuss with my friends on this and will return soon with a decision, and also a confirmation on the date and time. I understand that this thing is still a bit uncertain at this stage, so it is ok if anyone wishes to indicate interests but not sure of the commitment, cuz we won't hold anyone to it.

ckiang, actually I only meant blow up like 8R lah..hehe...so don't need medium format. A bit hard to convince my friends to pay more for medium format cuz they don't really know much about photography, they probably think that all films only come in one size.

mylau, offtopic here, I haven't receive the EF500 manual yet leh! Just wanna check, have you sent it yet? Thanks!
