Any free software to test a CF Card's Speed?

Cheapest one is called a stop watch

Just time it and you can calculate the rough speed. There are too many variables like size of the files and how full the card is.

alternatively, refer to Rob's CF database. He tested many cards on DSLRs and PC read/write speeds.
