Default Film camera -> DSLR?

Is there a way to convert normal cameras into DSLR? Last time they were talking about a back that you can install into the old camera and turn it into SLR one, but no more mention these days?

I actually thinking of getting a 20D, but look at the price.. and the quality of the body.. like quite bohua leh. A EOS 3 is only $2500, this new plasticky KNN $2750... one you can chiong sua with, the other one go beach hong kan liao..

Well, you get the idea.

Film technology has already top. Digital being digital will always improve with new technology every 6 mths. So buy buy buy! or wait wait wait and never able to buy at the end. Take lak-cheng ($6k), whack both lah! Or whack toto oso can.

Sorry no offence but I have to be frank here:

You don't know about DSLR to make those comments! Neither are you ready for DSLR. I'd advice sticking to your film cameras, be it P&S or SLR.

P.S. EOS 3 for $2500? In Malaysian ringgit?

P.S2 U posted in CS b4 under another name?

The only SLR manufacturer right now doing something like that is Leica with their latest R-series SLR. It's not out yet though, and the body is specifically designed to accomodate both film and digital backs. There are also a number of medium format cameras with interchangeable digital backs, but such backs cost a bomb (read price of 2 1Ds Mk II), and isn't usually portable at all except in one or two cases.

Heh... you can buy your EOS3 go "chiong" your "sua" and then scan the film... or just wait until one day in the near future for someone (Leaf??) to make a digital back for your EOS3 loh....... but then it will prob be too pricey for you too... and I doubt it can survive sand either....

No one pointing a gun to your head to buy a 20D wat....

Sori ah... my singlish no powder one...

U need to read up more 1st.
So many wrong facts in your paragraph.
I don't think a digital camera is suitable for you yet.

I held an EOS 3 and the 20D before... They feel the same... Are you sure you were holding a 20D, not the black 300D?
