I am not good in ID but this seems like a glossy starling. The 3rd picture might be a juv.

thanks bro, starting to get into the mood for birdy shooting recently.. like a tree fruit season and the trees are teeming with all kinds of birds!!! Got some blue and yellow ones too.. i'll try to get those next time.. but rarer..

The bird in the first 3 shots is an adult Asian Glossy Starling. The bird in the 4th shot is a juvenile.

the #1 shot is nice but it's not sharp enough?... the last shot is great just that soeme of the leafs are over exposed?

Now I understand why the experts shoot only in the morning and in the evening. The lighting in your shots is extreme with a lot of bright and dark areas, especially the bird in pic 3.

Yeep, i know... i shoot during work.. erm lunch time, it seems the birds also have a lunch time during that time. Evening time rushing home lar... hehehh.. today the sun quite bright also, wait till cloudy i bring a flash...

yep I agree totally.. will work on it! din flash lar... tele hand held that's the best I could do. today flash flash!! Sometimes film will work wonders here.. oh I used spot metering on the birds.. should i use 3D matrix?

hahahha.. i use open the door, the birds are there screeching away.. so much fruits, they poo all over. Can see like raining white liquid sometimes... overkill man... people if interested come to NTU South Spine S1, B2. between the Nanyang Auditorium and my location is like a giant bird santurary now..
