Hi,
I like people's opinion on the above? I am considering getting one. What prices have you come across and where? |

A80 is too big to be a snap camera nowaday but in return you get manual function to play with like Av/Tv mode and manual mode ... ignore those scenery mode as i think they are useless anyway think about it yourself what kind of photo you going to take and you will have idea which camera you going to buy ![]() |

Canon A80 would definitely be a better buy:
1. It uses normall AA sized batteries instead of Canon Lithium battery; 2. It allows the usage of a lens adaptor which you can buy and fit either a wide angle or telephoto lens; 3. Swivel LCD 4. Manual control: Full Manual, Aperture priority, Speed priority. |

my opinion, why don't you get yourself a second hand G series, G3 or G5 at about the same price as a new A series.. The G series do take very good pics.
