Installation problems Scanwit 2720 with XP

I love my scanner, and it was working fine without the SCSI card on my fairly new HP pavilion 774e Win XP home edition. I had a system crash, had to reformat my hd, and now I cannot get the scanner to be detected!

Loaded MiraPhoto 2012 Acardv 141. Shows up in Device manager without conflicts, set default # on back of scanner to #4. Unistalled Mira 2012, and Acardv 141, Turned unit on, started computer up just to see if it would show up in Device Manager, as "Unknown device"
Please help!
