Default More Wakeboarding action

More action from the waters of the Bedok Reservoir on Sunday morning. One problem I faced was finding a good spot to shoot them with their front facing me rather than their backs. Since this is a new sport (at least for me), it is more of a trial and error. It was helpful that we can wonder around from place to place and the intervals between the action is quite long.

No6 - One of the very few panning shots that came out ok. Tried lotsa times.

Nice series. I love the panning shot. Great background blur with a sharp face. What focal length were these taken with, looks good.

Yeah, the panning shot is my fav. too. I got lucky that time Found panning extremely difficult as the direction of movement of the wakeboarder is not all in one direction, for example, the body is going one way, the board is going another way and the hands are going another way too.

All shots were taken around 300mm range, and I am using the 80-400 VR lens with VR turned on. Found it easier to handhold rather than use tripod to track movement of the subject. Other technical details are ISO100, Shutter priority, 1/60Sec, F11.
