Hi, I'm a new bird in photography. I understand that post processing is important. Is there any free software that can be downloaded from the web ? Or, is the CD software that comes with my 550D sufficient ??

    Reply is appreciated. Thanks.

besides.. use whichever program best suited to ur preferences, as long as it gets the job done

as a beginner, your canon's digital photo professional (DPP) that comes with the solutions CD should be good enough to start with.

GIMP is a good substitute to photoshop, though probably not as intuitive.
