Question D70 SB600 Sigma 105mm Macro problem

I have a D70 and SB600. I am trying out a Sigma 105mm f2.8 EX Macro lens.

I have a small problem.....

The when using flash, the SB600, the Sigma underexposes .5 ev.

The built in flash on the d70 does NOT do this. Other lenses do not do this. Available light is ok.

Just using the SB600 and the Sigma.

Any suggestions?

Photoshop does correct this no problem though.

Returned the Sigma, and got the Tamron 90mm AFD SP. No problems now.

it is because when doing macro, the SB-600 is too high to light the subject. the onboard flash is lower and is able to lit the subject.

the work around is to manually zoom back the flash so that it lits a wider area.

The D70 uses iTTL. The only flash that will work in TTL mode for my D70 are the SB600, which I have, and the SB800.
