How the shot was taken ?
The exposure was made completely out of flash power in order to freeze the motion. So, set to your x-sync speed which is 1/180s in my case, and a reasonably small aperture. As long as the frame is completely dark if not flash was used, it would be fine. And then set up a tripod, mount the camera, focus, my flash set to manual pointing directly. I tripped the shutter as I drop the berry at the same time. The white background was a white wall. Pretty simple.

Sounds like a project that I can do at home, when it thunderstormed....
er, you have a photo to the entire setup ? It would be helpful.... Only thing is the sync between the "right moment". too soon, no berry, too later, game over liao. how many shots you take before selecting this ? Oh - IMHO, I think the partial glass & Sberry really adds to the splash drama... really....

I used water, but u can use baby oil if you have slower reflexes.
For me, I'm young and quick. Just kidding. I think some pros use baby oil.

Nice! I prefer it as it is instead of full ... more unique feel.
Had tried something similar but did't work out ... hope u don't mind sharing, were u using flash mounted onboard or off camera |

Thanks everyone for their kind words.
Its different, but I'll take no credit for creativity. I've seen such shots before, just different subjects. Shall we let this thread go.... ? Enough posts in this thread.... let the new threads up. Thanks.
