Default Nikon 8800 at Alan Photo

Hi
Just tried out the 8800 at nikon photo.

Did so in P mode and took photos in
8mp HI
3 MP HI
and Raw

All with VR on

As said in the DP review it is very very slow
indeed..

there are only 8 pieces and they came in
at 6.30 PM I am sure CP would have
it too.

Yes Nikon 8800 had been delivered and most shops already have them.
CP have them so did TK Foto and many others I saw.
Held a unit and it is good. VR works and the egonomics are very good. Comfortable to hold and grip.

hi all! I have been waiting for 8800. Was thinking of getting 8700 previously. So is 8800 a good cam? Wondering to go for it or Cannon Powershot Pro. any good advice?

Hi
Its best you bring your own card and try.. I took mine
and looked at it for a while and deleted them, I only had
15 mins with the camera.

I am waiting for a 8800 to be in my
hands this week and I will be able to
do some posting..

Hello all,
I am a newbie here and wish to ask something abt this constant 2.8 of FZ20

I came across the FZ20 description on internet and they stated that FZ20
has F2.8 through out the range. May I know if this is a good feature?
What if I need to set different F-stop under different conditions huh? Can FZ20 do that?

Sorry and please bear with me if you find my question stupid okie

Thank you...

Yes. F2.8 is the max aperture you can open up. You can still change it to a smaller aperture.

Default CP didn't have it but Parisilk did

Called CP today, but they said they didn't have it.

Happened to be in Holland V for lunch today and saw it at Parisilk :-)
So I got it together with a 1GB Lexar 80X CF and extra battery....
Turned out to be a very expensive lunch

Default Coolpix 8800

Oh, still playing around with it and going through the manual. Haven't done much outdoor shots yet as the weather has been crazy lately. Don't want to do too much till I get a lens filter. Any ideas on when the Nikon filters (like FF-CP11 NC) will arrive in Singapore? If not, I'll have to consider ordering the filter adapter from overseas :-(
