Hi all, I am new to this forum. I am gonna be an owner of the FZ20 soon. Is there any reccomendation of any tripod and the price? And where is the place to get one?
I checked out on ebay(US) and found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW It costs about S$127(converted) plus S&H. Do you think it is worth the price? Or is it chepaer to get at certain shop at SLS or somewher else? Last edited by spiderman; 29th October 2004 at 02:39 PM. |

I am using SLIK U6600. Pretty light and stable. Bought in 2002 at CP Marina S$50. Only use it recently! It came with carrying bag too..

As for tripods, it's like one of the unchangable stuff. IMHO, get a good one like
Manfrotto 190 Pro (black) - $180 http://www.manfrotto.com/product/tem...102&itemid=796 Manfrotto 486RC2 ball head - $85 http://www.manfrotto.com/product/tem...=8&itemid=1952 Got the quote from John 3:16 Peace!! Last edited by deathgame; 29th October 2004 at 07:58 PM. |

I know someone from the Us and he can buy for me first and later send to me. But it will add up to the S$127, maybe another $30-$40 more.
I didn't know it is so cheap for tripod. As for John, you mentioned SLIK U6600 and came with a carrying bag? The bag is for the tripod only or for camera & accessories? hmmm.... 2002 eh? Is there anywhere available now?? Zenten's TR-804 is quite an atrractive price! Worth considering too. So it will fit the FZ20? Cos I am just a beginner in digi photo. I know deathgame is right that it is better to get a good one once and for all, but to tell you the truth, I don't use the tripod so often. So instead of spending on a higher end tripod, I would rather slash some money on other accessories like lens conversion(still looking for one[for both wide & tele]) though. |

Tripod is one of the photography tools cannot live without it. I need it to produce much better quality of photo, especially night shot, trail shot and panorama shot

That was why I wanted to find out why to get one, but I won't buy an expensive tripod cos I seldom use. I just started doing my shopping for accessiories for the FZ20 while still waiting for it to arrive.
I have asked a friend from US to help me to buy Kingston 256MB SD cards. See link: http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/deta...mail,ECOSTCNET So if this is true, USD6.00, and has no gimmicks then I'll ask him to get me 5 cards cos it says above USD25.00 is free shipping(within US). And then he will send to me by normal post. |
