    Hi all,

I'm a new DLSR user. Trying to find out what softwares did you guys use for PP. What are the cost and pros/cons?

    Thanks.

You can try using the software that comes with your camera first. For quick editing, I prefer lightroom, can't do heavy manipulations though.

use the one come with your camera, free and good,

some freeware found in the net, free some good some not so good,

if you want industrial standard, Adobe lightroom, photoshop, etc... if you are not a student, it will cost a lot.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I will stick to my Nikon free software at the moment. Saw the price of Photoshop and my eyes nearly pop out.

You can use GIMP too. FYI, there's an entire sticky about free software in the Digital Darkroom section.
