when the time is right, you can get all the shots than nobody ever think of.

that is how wild life photographers do, and that is a jungle out there.

But in this case......Ends up being a PIMP !

There shouldn't be any problem shooting in Geylang as long as you don't shoot with a camera.

By the way the shooting fees is always negotiable.

I tot there ain't much or rather nothing happening in the day time. Many HP shops, many shops that sells stuff for those foreign workers, fruits stalls etc. So, shooting street life in GL won't get you into trouble. Unless you're shooting those "chicken" houses or those "tomyam" houses.

I understand that "action" starts well after dark. In the dark, unless you're using a FF dSLR with a large aperture lens, chances are you're gonna to get lots of noise and even some "ghost" in your images.
Do not be afraid [of ghost and bullies] Shoot them......

There are a number of streetwalkers in the daytime hanging around the kopitiams around lor 16 - lor 20 area.
I wouldn't worry about the streetwalkers too much, it's the large amount of chee ko peks I'd be careful of.

Neither the pimps, nor the registered sex workers nor the men who go there for their services (it is legal), want you to be taking photos.
The guys who patronise the outlets do not want their families/wives to know.

The ladies do not want their families back home to know they are in this trade.
You are intruding into other people's private space and affecting their livelihood.

Don't get yourself beaten up or killed. And make a nuisance of yourself.

TS thinks that there are only pimps there?

My friend is a IO in Bedok Police Division and he has to deal with cases involving drug dealers, drunken hooligans, illegal cigarette peddlers etc. etc. on an almost daily basics.
