    Hi Flyingpig,
Don't know about Zen, but there are modules out there to allow direct camera data storage via camera's USB cable , also, a module you can plug any card execpt XD into and dump to the iPod.
The iPod stores Music and/or Data. 20gig storage !!! woooo

    The iPodPhoto.

Now good for 15hrs of music and 5hrs of photo viewing.

Supports standard BMP, TIFF, JPEG, GIF, PSD formats. Except Camera RAW.

Starting from SGD$888 for 40GB and SGD$1088 for 60GB version.

But the biggest downside is that it doesn't have a CF/memory card slots.

60gb of photos.. Frankly speaking i cannot imagine scrolling through that much photos with an iPod interface. Plus think need to get a media card adaptor from belkin to work with the CF and SD cards.

    Hi scott,

I have not seen the iPod photo thingy..to me it sounds like an expensive TOY.

I do have the other modules though (much less expensive) ......
Simply put. They can store masses of photo's on your iPod.

Rather than carry half a dozen of 1gig cards (or 128meg) you simply dump your card to the iPod, then go on shooting. When you get home....upload to your computer......Mass storage at hi res ....excellent

I believe Belkin's got a Digital Media Reader and a Digital Camera Link which u can dump ur files over to the iPodPhoto.

The downside is probably the lack of support for camera RAW.

As for the scrolling of photos, well, I don't think users got much of a choice unless you can come up with a more intuitive and simple interaction for sorting and displaying photos?

Checked out iPod lounge, apparently the Digital Camera Link dumps everything in ur camera's CF straight to ur iPod, including RAW files, JPEGs and whatnots. The downside is prolly ur camera will be tied up during the transfer process and of cos, the limited support for certain cameras.

Check out here for supported camera list: http://www.belkin.com/ipod/cameralink/

To those who might think iPod is nothing but an expensive piece of toy, think again and ask urself if the Zen has the same set of accessories for their range of MP3 players which are... well... JUZ MP3 players
