Default Hopper poses from SBG

Fell in love with the junior hopper I shot the other day at SBG and decided to head back there to shoot it again.

This hopper was pretty professional ...

Comments and critiques very welcomed.

Pose 1. Portrait shot.

Pose 2. Side profile

Pose 3. Stretch leg pose

Pose 4. A closer side profile.

Pose 5. Pose on a branch

Strange but true, this hopper is not as green(color) as its counterparts.

Cheers.

Nice series wheels! As megaweb had said, good control of flash and well exposed. Pretty sharp too.

Keep shooting...

Welcome

Hint : you can use this setup to capture some insect moment shots like spider eating other insect and etc

as for pose shot like grasshopper portrait, try to take under better lighting to have brighter background ..

Thanks for the hint. Understand your point.
Shots with brighter background are shots that I am still mastering. Compositions and colour are my main issues whenever I shoot those.
Nevertheless, will continue to try.
Thanks once again.

I like the dark bg, isolates the subjects. How did you do that, wheels? Care to share?

Sorry for the very late reply. Was away on vacation.

Thanks damithc, flyingpig and adzz for your comments. Appreciate it.

As for the way I did the shots.... I used my flash as a external remote flash and using high speed shutter and small aperture to get blackground.

cheers
