Default Ah-23/10/04

Went on a very short trip to AH ... sky very gloomy. Also the first time shooting in the late afternoon.

All uncropped.

Please let me know if they are oversharpened. The pics always turn soft after I saved them in jpg. Please share some of your sharpening techniques if you dun mind

Soft? Told you to change system liao. Don't believe me.

OK, back to comment, the sharpness looks ok with me, but I do have issue with your focusing. For example, the grasshopper shots, looks like you did not AF at its eyes.

My 2 cents worth of input.

Soft is after saving as jpg, not the actual pic lar. But even at quality 9 is a bit wierd.

I use MF leh... oh dear, any eye surgeon can correct backfocus in my eyes? :P

Maybe the viewfinder is misaligned? Anyway, you can try to increase a little more DOF.

Good try there Andrew, long time no see you shoot macros liao. As Falcon had suggested, try stop down a bit more to increase DOF. For the spider shots try to go a bit closer to capture more details. Last shot I feel is best of the lot.

Keep shooting!

You should visit AH in the morning around 8am to noon time and you can find there are many grasshoppers at the plant next to wooden bridge. The lighting there is so much better.
