Default Highlighting your subject in color!

    Hi all,

Just wondeirng if this has been posted in any threads before. Just wanted to ask how to create a black and white picture with the subject you want in color? Currently, I use the magnetic tool in Photoshop to cut out the subject and then remove the color from the background and paste back the color subject. Is there any better way in doing this?

    Regards,
    Linus

Desaturate the photo to BnW. Then use History Brush to go over the part you want in color. Presto!

not much control is that method is used....
create a hue saturation adjustment layer. set the saturation to -100... then paint over the area you want in color using a brush set to black...

this way you are working on layers and anytime you want to alter your image, you can do so...

the other method is limited becauase once the pic is saved, there is no way of re correcting the areas painted in color and stuff like that...

    rule of thumb. use layers!
