I like your idea. However, I'm aware that David Chin from dpreview.com forums is already maintaining an excellent list of links with regards to the D70 operations, etc.

I'd like to suggest that we Nikonians/Nikonites maintain a specific D70 primer/FAQ which (if the moderator agrees) should be made a sticky.

This is because the D70 is one of the most popular, if not the most, DSLR around. The number of D70 owners continues to grow, and with it the number of questions and threads, most of which have been repeated ad naseum.

Questions such as:
1. Why do my shots with the D70 underexpose?
2. How to load custom curves? (And related custom curve questions.)
3. How come my D70 is not detected by my computer?
4. Is there a D70 eyecup?
5. (I hesitate to add this contentious one) The D70 backfocus issue.
and other common queries should be addressed in this primer/FAQ.

The trick is how to maintain such an FAQ. I suggest that the work has already been done, many times over in fact. We can just link to previous threads on the various topics.

Perhaps we can list out common issues with the D70 in this thread first, then slowly compile links to the threads that deal with these issues. After a comprehensive list is compiled, we can lock (and delete) the thread, starting a new one where all the issues are on the first post. If there are any new commonly occuring questions, we can always add to that thread.

What say you?
acroamatic, that's a very good idea from you.
