Default Microtek scanners

Anyone has experience with Microtek brand of scanners? Especially those higher end ones that can scan 4x5 inch and even 6x17 cm films? Models are: ScanMaker i700 (up to 6x17cm films and 4x5 inch on top of glass), ScanMaker i900 (up to 6x9cm with holder and up to 8x10 inch on glass), ArtixScan 1800f or ArtixScan 2500f (both up to 8x12 inch on glass and 6x9 on holders).

Is their colour depth and dynamic range good enough for slides? Most of them have Dmax of 4-4.8....

I used to own one of the Microtek Slimscan (using CIS sensors). The colour, sharpness and speed were excellent, especially the twain drivers. However, the scanner died after a year usage.
