The super rich persons + super rich companies in USA employ political lobbyists to fight for their rights + protection in Washington DC, at the heart of government. So when new bills are signed into law, they are already protected. The super rich persons + super rich companies in USA also contribute directly secretly or otherwise to their favourite powerful politicians. Otherwise, nowadays, no one can afford to run for US political office (to be Congressman or Senator or Governor). Running for the Presidency is especially costly. Now you know why the Republicans fight Obama like crazy over the Debt Ceiling, stubbornly insisting not to raise taxes for the super rich persons + super rich companies in USA. They know where their bread is buttered. They are not doing it out of idealism. They are not doing it for the good of their country.

Precisely. this is the problem now in US. Riches have the say and poors are the one suffering. The poors are already so poor yet they have to pay so much taxes. what's the link here?

I think I read it somewhere that UK joined EU in the 70s or 80s... but they did not use Euros and continued to use their Pound sterling which was damn good a move.

Eurozone is a damm stupid idea to begin with. It's just an ideal fantasy that is in fairy tales. 'happily live forever and after'

    Stupid......

It just takes a couple of useless countries who decided not to work as hard as the others, then the entire Eurozone is screwed.

UK is smarter than the rest and they already knew the Eurozone won't work for long.

Today's news. Guess the stress is getting on everyone's nerves. Heads of state openly quarrel (for 2 hours) in front of everyone in the meeting.

even if they managed to solve Greece portion, how about Italy ? Italy's debts alone is more than the combined amount of Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Greece.

Sarkozy, Cameron in debt talks spat - World (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Sarkozy has not only fed up with England.

All countries in the EU have enough of the parasite England.
It is high time that England will disappear from the EU.
They have nothing to offer for the EU, they only want
money allways and have a big mouth.

They can then make their own shops on the island.

England (and USA) is one of the most corrupt country on the planet!!!!

China agrees to invest in euro bailout fund
A good business opportunity for China to pick up some solid companies. What China needs is technology, creative fashion. Italy does have excellent products/brands like Agusta, Ferrari, Lambo, Bugatti, Vespa, Aprilia, Ducati, Ariston, Indesit, Prada, Miu Miu, Ermenegildo Zegna, Gucci, Bulgari, Damiani, Panerai, etc....

Some of them thought by having Euro they can control the 'domestic market' and form a zone of their own not knowing that their younger bros and sis are ‘败家子‘.
