There's no in-built function in the D7000 for takng HDR pics. You have to take bracket photos + HDR software to get the effect.

Try a google search, or a search here on CS, for "How to take HDR pics".

If you're looking for a built-in function, you bought the wrong camera.

SInce this is a newbie corner, we will not discuss how HDRI can be done using PS, but rather using production ready software such as Photomatix. Google for it.

In essence, you will need to bracket a couple of shots ranging from 3 to 7 or even more depending on your needs. Go and read up on how to do bracketing shots with your camera. If you are abit more skillful, you can do your own manual bracketing by going into manual mode, adjust the shutter speed and use a fixed aperture. Import these images into photomatix and it will combine them into a single image. You can (highly recommended) to tweak all possible settings in photomatix to get the right effect you are looking for.
