Default Night Lights Voyage Night Festival 2011 - Bras Basah Area

    Fri, Sat, 3 Sep

Presented by the Singapore Art Museum as part of Night Festival 2011

Be dazzled by this nine-evening outdoor showcase of spectacular light installations from France. Encounter these intriguing works as you enter the Bras Basah cultural precinct at:

    - Singapore Art Museum
    - School of the Arts (SOTA)
    - Singapore Management University (SMU) and
    - National Museum of Singapore (NMS).

Revel into the night with an array of weekend activities including a flea market, film screenings, a chic thumping Parisian club party, a fun new media installation and, of course, exhibitions at the museums.

    HUGE night architectural shooting opportunities

@acman: There is performances this Fri & Sat. Someone highlighted there's oversight in marketing material, in the "Night Fest 2011" facebook. (u may refer to: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Night-...21863034524683)

snapper123: You can join the Moderators' event (http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/threa...tography/page3)
They have a talk at the Art Museum's Glass Hall, touching on night photography.
after which they will be shooting the night fest. do sign up with them quick due to limited spots.
I highly recommend it! ***But if u sign up & then don't turn up, u will be black-listed! So be warned!
If u are not able to get a spot for the Mod's event, u are welcome to just my group that is shooting night fest that night. (refer to: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/threa...ept-Night-Fest)

the weather forecast for Sat is possible thunderstorm (i check 3 different weather sites)
hence i suggest rain gear (i prefer poncho).
as for Flash, that is a bit tricky because sudden flash might affect the performers

this weekend performances are different than last week, mostly for lighting installation..

from the fb link you gave, it seems the original fb group is this : https://www.facebook.com/groups/130495560296051/

    there's an info there :

Important Information about Voyage Night Festival

Please be informed that the information published in The Straits Times Life! events page (2 Sep 2011) on Voyage Night Festival is incorrect.

There will neither be any repeat performances of Corazon de Angeles in Paradise by Theater Tol at the National Museum of Singapore nor programmes at the Peranakan Museum, the Substation and Singapore Management ...University on 2 and 3 Sep. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Members of the public can continue to experience Voyage Night Festival at the National Museum and Singapore Art Museum. There will also be complimentary entry to both museums on 2 and 3 Sep from 7.00pm to 2.00am.

    ================================================== ===============

so expect new performances, but don't expect last week performances this weekend.
