Talking My 2nd try at football shoot...

Now, armed with more information, this is my 2nd try at my school's 2nd football match. Here are 4 of the best shots that I could get out:

#1

#2

#3

#4

The team in orange is my school, Bangkok Patana School and the yellow team is the International School of Bangkok.

Enjoy and comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick

perhaps it's lack of experience, but you might have been able to catch frame #1 with the ball right together with the two players, and crop it tight.

#2 and #3 would be useless to me.

#4 might be better to shoot from a lower perspective still.

technically speaking, you need not use iso 400 and use 1/3200s shutter, 1/1000 would suffice in most cases anyway, that means iso 125 or 160 (depending on what you have in-camera)

Photo 1: lighting is good.
Photo 2: no objective.
Photo 3: no objective.
Photo 4: lighting is bad against the sunlight and without/ insufficient light on their face.

Which cam & len are you using?
Aperture? Shuttle speed? ISO?

Thanks guys for your comments.

Yeah, its the lack of experience shooting sports for me. I'm really trying my best and practising as much as I can. I lost many shots that day because my 300mm suddenly went crazy and didn't allow my to manual focus and I was trying to find out what the problem was and not shooting... sianz...

Thanks sehsuan for your advice. Tomorrow no more football but volleyball so it'll be another thing for me...

For #1 I caught myself out again... Was watching and not shooting and nearly missed the shots...
