How about designed in Japan, manufactured in China, assembled in Malaysia, sold in Singapore?

Be it made in Japan or not, your camera will still be using parts made outside Japan.

it does not matter where it makes from... now adays everything is from china. even i got my tour souvenoir in Japan also make in china... no big deal.

btw, OT abit, some ppl are trying to pay 1.5k - 1.6k for 10D in buy and sell forum. if you can get a 10D for 1.6k, get the 10D instead.

Price quoted from eqoute CP.
Anyway my question is that could it be due to the reason that the cam is not made in japan resulting in a lower price?
Anyway i feel that japan has better QA standards too.
