Thanks guys !!!
I am currently on business trip in the US and wanna check if this lens is cheaper here.
It's US$678 here, so not much difference then (using 1.73 exchange rate).

Isn't it 10%? On my last trip I went to McDonald's to buy an Egg McMuffin (YUM!!! ) for US$1.00 so they charged me US$1.10...

different states have different taxes. If I'm not wrong, Washington DC is 10%, New York is 8.65%.

You can probably get your taxes refunded at the airport. Can check with the retailer when you make your purchase.
