    Default White balance...

I find that some of my pics have funny colour cast due to WB problem, even though I use the preset WB. I found that the most accurate way to get my WB correct is to use a white piece of paper and set the preset WB with referenece of the white paper. This does not work in bright sunlight though, as it becomes too reflective. How do I get a correct WB reading easily?

Depends which cam you are using. For the 300D/10D, AWB under outdoor lighting conditions is generally quite acceptable. Indoor under artificial light, its not that good and Custom WB with a white background may be the only way to go (painful process though). Alternatively, shoot RAW and fix later in PS.

    Cheers,
