Default Sunday Surprise

While I was crossing the cross junction at SLS, spotted a big bird landed on a tree beside the big long kang. Luckily I got my cam with me (on my way to shoot some work related photos) and immediately took a snap shot at the bugger. Before I can take a second shot, it flow away

Enjoys and please comments.

Cheers

Must be something wrong with photobucket Have already re-pasted the pic. Currently I see Ok leh...Can you try to re-log on to the internet again to see whether it help.

I am going to office now and will use my partner's laptop to test whether the problem still arise.

Bro, not comparing with other little herons lah. I'm refering to common birdies found in the HDB areas like pigeons.

Cheers

Of course lah. Where can you find such a big bird in HDB area?

I was around SLS area on saturday. Too bad didn't get to see this guy around.

Saw this bugger the second time now. First time was 2 weeks ago at the same location where I took this shot. The timing of both encounters were early in the morning. Guess it is a sign to tell that it's time for me to buy 4D and ToTo...hahaha

Cheers

Hi bro,

The only nature resources around SLS is the tons of long kang fishes found in the big drain or canal. This birdie (smart fella) really know where to find a heartly meal without any competition from other water birds...

Cheers

These guys are survivors and will adapt to urbanisation. My aunt once rescued an injured Little Heron at a HDB staircase in Toa Payoh Lor 8, it was being chased by some cats. Not knowing what was it and what to do she sent it to the Jurong Bird Park.

Anyway nice catch there
