    Default Filter System Recommendation

    Hi all,
Thinking of taking Lee system after using Cokin for some time.
Will be getting the set of 3 graduated first. Do you think I should continue to build up on the system by getting the NDs from Lee?.I am more for the Lee type as I can foresee ease of usage as in composition and focusing.
If so, which do you think is the most commonly used one that I should get first?. Or should I get the 77mm screw type from other manufacturer.
    Thanks

You really have to gauge yourself what are your shooting patterns, needs and preference. Everyone prefers different things.

Different scenarios and lighting will require different ND filters depending on what you want to achieve?
Do you want 1/4 sec exposure or do you want 1 min exposure?

The available ND filters available from LEE Filters are :
    LEE PROGLASS ND 0.6 (2 Stops Cut down) (100MM) - $260
    LEE PROGLASS ND 0.9 (3 Stops Cut Down) (100MM) - $260
LEE BIG STOPPER (10 STOPS GLASS FILTER) (100MM) - $200

If you want, can start with either ND 0.6 or ND 0.9.

You can also consider the cheaper Formatt Hitech filter option. Comes in both 100mm & 85mm.

Thanks DD , Francis and Cowseye for your replies. Looks like once I am on Lee system, its better to get the 'Drop in' type filter rather than mixing with screw thread type. Will consider the Hitech option. Thanks.
