Default Tamron 28-75 vs Sigma 24-70

Could not afford Canon 24-70 so thinking of getting one of this...
Seems the canon users are divided into two camps over this 2 pieces of glass..
QUESTION: WHICH IS BETTER VALUE FOR MONEY??

I'll take the Tamron if I have to choose between the 2; so far I've heard more good reviews on the 28-75mm than the Sigma one. As a matter of fact, I'll be borrowing a close friend's Tamron to cover another close friend's wedding next month ... it's going to be siong man ...

I'm using the Sigma 24-70, its noisy when doing AF and the zoom ring is really tight, dun forget it's 82mm diameter thread.. the price of a 82mm polarizer almost killed me. To me it's sharp and faster than my previous F3.5 lens. It's currently my main lens. This is the best i can afford so have to live with it .

Soon. From the likes of Sigma/Tamron, i know the lag is about 2 months from time of announcement and time of availability here.

You are refering to the 28-75 f2.8 ? Should be around the range of S$600-700.

definitely the tamron.
it rivals even the mega famous nikon 28-70/2.8.

only drawback is slower af, not as good build. but sharpness wise, i'd say probably as good as the canon L!

get it u confirm no regert.

i've just gotten my tamron 28-75. haven't had much chance to use it but so far, i like it.
the af speed is alright for me, not too noisy and fine in low light. thats comparing to my tamron 18-200 though.
can't comment much on the iq of my own lens yet because i've not had the chance to shooot much with it yet.
many great reviews though!
