I liked the contrasting texture... just that have to mix it up quite a bit for both types to be intertwined, cuz they usually clump up together w their own kind.. kinda like human

Canopy Garden Dining & Bar @ Bishan Park .. it was a nice, green, comfy little place...

Eggs Royale (poached eggs w salmon) with Eggs Florentine (poached eggs w spinach) in bkground...

    buttermilk pancakes w strawberries

nice place, nice prices, the egg royale cost $13, which is really cheaper than most other places I know serving such stuff...

Nice Have not been to this FC for a long time.
Prawn noodles looks good, how much is it?
The last 2 shots seem a lil soft though.

Asthio: thanks, will take note of the sharpness !

Eggie: ok, though I don't usually head east, will try to do so ! Thanks !

had CKT for lunch @ Tanjong Pagar Fried Kway Teow @ 02-09 Tanjong Pagar Food Centre

$3 black version came with lots of cockles n even a novelty crabstick.. But it's the kway teow itself that's the star, fragrant, sweet n savoury, enjoyed every mouthful

they also have a 'white' version, basically Penang style... personally find the black version better, but white's still pretty good, very savoury, with lots of ingredients... here's a pic taken some time ago:

Heard that the Food Centre will be closed for year long Reno soon, not sure what stalls will be back thereafter, so if you have any fav stalls there, better head down soon !

the self made fishballs had a great texture too.. kinda soft, but full of meat...

Arbite @ 66A Serangoon Garden Way (gotta walk up the stairs next to Guardian Pharmacy)

Green Tea Tagliatelle with Smoked Duck

Light and al dente tagliatelle pasta with fragrant smoked duck breast slices, sweetness from the mushroom, and a slight tanginess provided by the sun-dried tomatoes.. quite nice, though I confess that I cldnt really taste the matcha in the pasta...

Tri Pepper Spaghettini with Soft Shell Crab

Menu reads "green, pink and black pepper pasta with jumbo lump swimmer crab meat, leek, garlic, chilli, spring onion, extra virgin olive oil and tempura battered soft shell crab" ... to me, very tasty n al dente.. sweet, spicy and savoury all at once.

    Thanks for dropping by

    Hokkien Mees @ Chomp Chomp

First ... the one at Ah Hock @ Stall 27

every strand of noodle n beehoon was coated with flavorful 'wok hei'-filled stock. As I like my HKM slightly 'drier', this was simply excellent..

    Chia Keng @ Stall 2

Another superb hokkien mee.. Super yummilicious ... Alto just a tiny little bit less flavourful than neighbouring Ah Hock, it has nice fried lard pieces n a piquant sambal, prawns were fresh too...

Certainly one of the best around !
