The best time frame for us poor amateurs to buy is to wait till a 12mp full-frame dslr costs only $120 and 1 gig FC card 50 cents each.

Also wait until the professional models are charging the affordable 5% of what they are currently charging.

No use with the cheap dslr without affordable models. Right?

And also wait for the air tickets to the exotic world locations are on buy-one-give-two free offer.

    And also wait..........

buy when you need one, rather than waste the opportunities that come.

There is never the best time to buy a camera ... buy it when you really need it.

The prices in general has been fairly stable ... it'll be cheaper unless the model is set to be replaced or a rival brand has released a cheaper/newer model which set to compete the one which you're buying ...
