I scanned a 4R print using 300dpi. When i blow to 8R, the image was pixelised. Where did i go wrong? Please anybody out can share on what's the correct procedure. Much apprecited.

it's always better to scan direct from the negative than from prints. Quality from prints is really quite awful.

the problem is that i don't have a neg scanner nor the neg itself. so wat is the best resolution to scan?

you can also try scanning at different resolution beginning from 200dpi to 260 dpi, increment of 20dpi.
And set your output size to 10" x 8" for all resolutions. Then check the scans and decide which is the best for your application. You can also compare those scans with the 600dpi ones. (should have output size of 6" x 4"). |
