    Default recommendation on any good brand/compact camera ?

    Am thinkg of getting a compact camera, any good recommendation of good models i cld look into, abt 4 megapixel; budget abt 400-550.

    try look for a canon A70, A75 or A80 on b&s? u shld find some good deals there.

    with this budget can get new one la
    A80 should be around 550

    Yep, Canon A80 can get it at $525 nett brand new.

    saw this at Mustafa...maybe you can try out the Digimaster Igic Super at just $299!!!

    some specs displayed are 4MP, 3x Optical zoom and MPEG4...but seems not bad lei, already read this on quite a number of magazines..think if not wrong Streats even did a review recently.

    thats is just a point and shoot camera without manual control
    not recommended for learning photography

    what you need to consider in buying a digital is not the megapixel ... i think manual control is more important
