Its a Living Bug with Legs and moves pretty quick ... for its size. The fellow was climbing all the way up to the top of the stem when I photograph.

That my friends, is the larvae form of a beetle probably in the Chrysomelidae family. The white stuff is commonly called the fecal shield (guess what they are made of?) and is a defense mechanism against larger predators. Off course, they would still have trouble getting into Zouk as they are still juveniles! Bad joke.

Thanks Mphil for the info, never thought that this amazing fellow is part of the beetle family We are so caught up with our busy urban living ... it's amazing to learn more about nature and our so limited reserves.
