Hi tchuanye,

Thanks for the kind comment Things to take note (my personal experience ) are:

Try to spot the common areas where the birdies frequently like to land, usually the best time to shoot sunbirds is around 7.30am to 11am or around 4.30pm onwards. Station at a comfort distance between yourself and the subjects (birdies) - I prefer using a good tripob for better chances of getting a clearer shot. Focus (I prefer manual focus - more sharp) only at the birdies' eyes (learn from some old birds => photographers) instead of other parts of the body and the rest is practise, practise and more practise.......I also still learning from others.

My favourite setting:
modes: spot and manual, WB: Sunny (for warmer feeling), EV: -1/3 or -2/3 (for sunny day), manual focus and the rest depending on the situations. So far never used 'P' mode coz I like to take total control of my shots rather than let the 'P' mode do it for me.

Hope my info is useful to you.

Cheers

Yes, I have cropped some unwanted background. The distance is about .....3 to 5 meters away I think.

Cheers
