these 'flies' ( i don't know the species name) paralyze roaches by injecting some venom, drag them to their dens (captured in these photos) and lay eggs on the imobilized roach. when the eggs are hatched, juniors will feed on the roach (still alive).
cruel, but interesting eh?
sorry if i bored you with my trivia...

Yeah, i think in some dry areas, wasps also inject venom into spiders' abdomen to paralyse them (very fast, i think less than 1 min to kill), and at the same time inject eggs. Few days later they hatch and free-for-all food all around them.

The lady bug also suffers from the same fate.

And i think a particular fly does this with fire ants too.
