Default Another way of photo appreciation...

the above site has some photos that has poetry to go along..
one of the more famous photos published there is by a photojournalist Eugene W. Smith. Quite a famous guy. You can do a search on Google to see what else he has taken.

I forgot to mention. The photo is about a japanese mum bathing her daughter who was severely deformed by mecury poisoning, an effect of irresponsible industrial waste management. I chanced upon it while doing a research for my occupational therapy project.

Nowadays you guys are so lucky .. can get any infos just a click away from the website. In my student days, I got to buy books and browse through magazines to get to see this picture .... that was more than 10 years ago ..

hmm....

very moving image....

this is one instance where the use of black and white is very appropriate.

agree! i've been looking for Eugene Smith's other works. Anyone has any clue where it can be found? I searched kino and they don't carry any of his works..
