Talking What's the best solution for Lumix big and long FZ10/20?

I had the adapter attached. Intend to keep it that way. However, the original cap can't be used. Thus, it exposes the UV filter. Worst, the original case can't be used too. Currently, I am carrying it around naked. Though that's not an issue; however, I would like to protect my long one.
Any solution to it? Owners of FZ10, any advice?

can try getting the custom adapter from oversea.
it reduce the size of the front opening.
smaller size = cheaper uv filter and easier to find lens cap.

you can also fit a lotus hood to the adapter = more pro looking.
    Nikon D5000, D70; Nikon 18-55, 18-70, 70-300; Sigma 18-250, 50-500.
