Sony F717 vs Fuji S602z
Is it recommended for me to sell my s602z for the sony F717?

In my view, F717 is only marginally better. don't see a point doing so.

imho, no - especially since many older 717s might start to give problems now; there was a thread posted not long ago about some faulty 717s, go read it up.

I am having the Fuji 602Z for close to 2 year now, although I bought a D70 5 months ago, and then started to buy many lens for D70, whenever I took out the 602Z, I still like it. 602Z is a very fast, it uses standard AA size battery and CF card, it is light. 602Z out-shines the othere pP&S digital cam in ISO400 mode (at least at the time when I bought this cam). The super micro is the best, you can take objects as close as touching the lens of the camera.
I am for sure keeping this cam as backup and micro shots.

I never used a Sony F717 but I have a S602z... and I love it..Many current Prosumer now then catch up with S60z features and functions.. Eg.. Vga Mode limited by storage and ISO 1600 (None of the prosumers had it about 2 yrs ago..)

Never use 602Z before but i think both of them r about the same level, it's not upgrading anyway.
F717 is a great camera with very good image quality and night shot power (night shot mode & the infra-red finder). Mechanical zoom ring is something i like.
But its still SONY, the MS and MS Pro is expensive ...
