Olympus has announced three new 12.19 million image pixel cameras in the company's PEN lineup of Micro Four Thirds system cameras, as well as two new prime lenses. The PEN E-P3 seems sure to replace the E-P2 as the upper-level enthusiast PEN camera; the PEN E-PL3 (PEN Lite) is about 25% smaller than the model it likely replaces (the E-PL2); and the PEN E-PM1, dubbed the PEN Mini, slots into the lineup as a new, simplified entry-level model. The new lenses are a 12mm f2.0 (24mm equivalent) with "snapshot" manual focus and a 45mm f1.8 (90mm equivalent). The E-P3 features faster autofocus and overall performance improvements, a built-in flash, and a 3-inch OLED screen, among many other changes.
