    Default Inverter Aircon

Anyone installed and using an "inverter-technology" aircon unit ? I hear it is more economical to run one of these versus the conventional ones. Is it true and how much does not really save ?

I can attest to it. For me, its around one-third reduction in my monthly utilities bill figure.

How about maintenance cost? I heard that they can be quite steep?

Hmm ... depends on your home again i guess.

If your rooms are big. It would benefit to have individual units as these inverters are not good with large capacities. Unless you're talking about the industrial ones.

It does save energy, but if the compressor goes down, you'll be left stranded..
